Although we are better transitioned into our new normal since the COVID-19 pandemic started, many people still suffer from chronic symptoms even after they are no longer contagious. These symptoms are known as Long COVID, which has affected 1 in 13 Americans who contracted the virus. These symptoms can be severe and cause heart, respiratory, and digestive problems long after infectiousness subsides. In addition to the personal cost, Long COVID has significantly impacted our economy. Due to this condition, one million Americans can no longer work. It’s estimated that 3.7 trillion dollars in wages have been lost by workers worldwide.
Pragmatic Solutions is dedicated to fighting for the Americans afflicted by this and for our clients who are deeply concerned about this issue. To be an inclusive society, we must foster programs and policies to care for the sick. Our team of strategists has healthcare policy expertise and can deliver on this issue for our clients.

Half of the profit from the S&P 500 is spent on stock buybacks. Companies purchase their own stock to decrease the number of shares on the market and artificially increase stock prices. Companies decide to return capital to their shareholders through dividends and stock buybacks, but dividends unlink buybacks are taxed. This creates a loophole allowing corporations to return capital to shareholders without taxing the money as dividends.
The goal of taxing these buybacks isn’t to punish companies but to equalize dividends and stock buybacks while raising revenue for the federal government. Lyme Disease infections have been growing in America and will continue to do so as the planet warms because this new climate is ideal for tick numbers to rise.
